چکیده
We deal with the constrained fuzzy arithmetic as introduced by G.J. Klir. Its implementation represents a problem because maxima of nonlinear functions have to be found. This increases the complexity of computations in comparison to the classical calculus of fuzzy quantities. We suggest a modi ed computational procedure which allows to calculate a suboptimal (i.e., inexact) solution with an acceptable e ciency, thus making the use of the constrained fuzzy arithmetic practically usable.

Computation with fuzzy quantities
Solving systems of equations (even linear ones) in standard fuzzy arithmetic may be a problem. We suggest an alternative approach which transfers the task to a linear space where the solution may be standard. Fuzzy intervals form a proper subset (in fact, a cone) in this linear space.
متن کاملCompactness of fuzzy logics
This contribution is concerned with the compactness of fuzzy logics, where we concentrate on the three standard fuzzy logics—Łukasiewicz logic, Gödel logic, and product logic.
متن کاملProbability theory of fuzzy events
We compare two approaches to probability on systems of fuzzy sets—measures on tribes as introduced by Butnariu and Klement [3] and measures on MV-algebras with product studied by Riečan and Mundici [21]. We show that these two approaches overlap significantly and they confirm the original proposal of probability measure on fuzzy sets by Zadeh [24].
متن کاملFuzzy implications satisfying convexity relations
It is an open question whether a non-trivial convex combination of triangular norms (resp. conorms) can be a triangular norm (resp. conorm). We investigate the analogous question for S-implications and R-implications.
